Authors

Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya Journals (including Dev Sanskriti Interdisciplinary International Journal (DSIIJ), Interdisciplinary Journal of Yagya Research (IJYR), Dev Sanskriti International Journal of Hindu Studies (DSIJHS)) welcome high-quality, original manuscripts that align with each journal’s aims and scope. All submissions must follow these guidelines. Manuscripts not complying with the requirements may be returned without review.

Important: Authors must download and strictly use the official DSVV Journal Word Template (English or Hindi) available on the journal website. Using the template ensures correct formatting and reduces processing time.

1. Manuscript Preparation

  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.docx only). PDF submissions are not accepted.
  • Language: English & Hindi (Unicode) only. Use either British or American spelling consistently throughout the manuscript for English.
  • Formatting: Follow the DSVV Journal Word Template exactly (typically Times New Roman or equivalent, 12 pt font, 1-inch margins, double spacing where specified in the template).
  • Word Limits:
    • Original research articles: 3,000–8,000 words (excluding abstract, references, tables, and figures).
    • Review articles: up to 10,000 words.
    • Short communications, perspectives, case studies conceptual papers, book Reviews, interviews and dialogues or opinions: shorter lengths may be considered at the editor’s discretion.

Required Manuscript Structure

(IMRaD style for original research articles; adapt appropriately for review articles or other types)

  1. Title (concise, informative, and free of abbreviations)
  2. Author names, institutional affiliations, and ORCID iDs (where available)
  3. Abstract (structured: Background/Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusion; 150–250 words)
  4. Keywords (4–6 relevant terms)
  5. Introduction
  6. Materials and Methods (or equivalent section)

Figures and tables must be high-resolution (minimum 300 dpi for images), numbered sequentially, and cited in the main text. All figures must have clear legends. Equations should be numbered if referenced in the text.

2. Referencing Style – Vancouver (ICMJE)

All citations and the reference list must strictly follow the Vancouver style (numbered references in the order of appearance, as per ICMJE/NLM recommendations).

  • In-text citations: Use superscript Arabic numerals (e.g., …as reported earlier. [1]).
  • Reference list: Numbered consecutively at the end of the manuscript.
  • Journal titles should be abbreviated according to PubMed/NLM standards.
  • Use reference management software (Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote, etc.) configured for Vancouver style or standard format.

Detailed examples and formatting instructions are provided in the official DSVV Journal Word Template. Authors are fully responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all references.

3. Submission Process

  • Submit manuscripts through the online submission system available on the respective journal website (journal.dsvv.ac.in or individual journal portals).
  • Include a separate cover letter stating that:
    • The manuscript is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
    • All authors have read and approved the final version.
    • The work complies with all ethical standards.
  • Provide complete details for all authors: full name, institutional affiliation, email address, and ORCID iD (recommended).
  • Optional: Suggest 2–3 potential reviewers with their email addresses and affiliations. Exclude anyone with a known conflict of interest.

4. Peer Review Process

All submissions (except invited editorials or commentaries) undergo a double-blind peer review process by at least two independent experts in the relevant field. The editorial team makes the final decision based on reviewer feedback, scientific merit, originality, relevance to the journal’s scope, and adherence to ethical standards.

The average time from submission to first decision is 8–12 weeks. Authors will receive detailed reviewer comments and may be asked to revise their manuscript. Appeals against editorial decisions are accepted if supported by a detailed, evidence-based scientific justification.

Note: By submitting to Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya Journals, authors agree to abide by the Journal Policies, including all ethical requirements outlined in the separate Journal Policies section.

These Author Guidelines are common across all Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya Journals and are subject to periodic updates. Always refer to the latest version on the journal website before submission. Last updated: April 2026.
