Author Guidelines

Interdisciplinary Journal of Yagya Research (IJYR) (ISSN: 2581-4885) is a peer-reviewed, biannual, open-access research journal published by Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar, India. The journal provides a dedicated academic platform for the dissemination of scholarly work in the interdisciplinary domain of Yagya research, integrating traditional Vedic knowledge with modern scientific inquiry.

All submissions are assessed for fit with the journal’s aims and scope before being sent for peer review. IJYR follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process, wherein manuscripts are evaluated for originality, significance, and scholarly merit by independent experts.

These guidelines apply specifically to submissions to IJYR and should be read alongside the common DSVV Journal Author Guidelines, which govern formatting, referencing, and ethical requirements across all DSVV journals.

Before you submit: Download and use the official DSVV Manuscript Template (English) or DSVV Manuscript Template (Hindi). Submissions not using the prescribed template may be returned without review.

1. Scope

IJYR is devoted to the scientific, philosophical, and interdisciplinary exploration of Yagya, one of the central concepts of the Vedic tradition. The journal aims to bridge ancient wisdom with contemporary research methodologies and promote an evidence-based understanding of Yagya.

The scope includes, but is not limited to:

Clinical and Ayurvedic applications of Yagya; environmental and agricultural impacts; philosophical and scriptural studies; socio-cultural and historical dimensions; spiritual and psychological implications; and interdisciplinary scientific validation of Yagya practices.

The journal welcomes contributions from researchers, scholars, and practitioners worldwide, with an emphasis on innovative, interdisciplinary, and scientifically grounded approaches to Yagya research. Manuscripts that do not align with the journal’s scope may be desk-rejected.

2. Article Types

IJYR accepts the following five types of submissions:

Article Type Description
Original Research Article Reports innovative empirical or theoretical research. Empirical studies must follow a structured IMRaD format, while theoretical works should maintain equivalent scholarly rigor and structure.
Review Article Systematic reviews synthesizing existing research. Must clearly describe search strategy, inclusion/exclusion criteria, data extraction methods, and consistency of findings. Meta-analyses are encouraged.
Perspective Short research-based articles following the structure of an original research paper, suitable for focused scholarly commentary grounded in evidence.
Case Study Detailed examination of specific cases highlighting critical issues, applications, or impacts of Yagya in clinical, environmental, or socio-cultural contexts.
Opinion Short, non-peer-reviewed articles presenting well-argued viewpoints from recognised experts in or related to the journal’s field.
