Author Guidelines
Dev Sanskriti Interdisciplinary International Journal (DSIIJ; Print ISSN: 2279-0578 | eISSN: 2582-4589) is a peer-reviewed, biannual journal publishing original research in indigenous knowledge, interdisciplinary sciences, and allied fields. All submissions are assessed for fit with the journal's aims and scope before being sent for peer review. These guidelines apply specifically to submissions to DSIIJ and should be read alongside the common DSVV Journal Author Guidelines, which govern formatting, referencing, and ethical requirements across all DSVV journals.
Before you submit: Download and use the official DSVV Manuscript Template (English) or DSVV Manuscript Template (Hindi). Submissions not using the template may be returned without review.
1. Scope
DSIIJ publishes interdisciplinary research with a focus on indigenous knowledge systems — particularly those rooted in ancient Indian thought — including but not limited to Yoga, Ayurveda, Indian philosophy, cultural sciences, holistic health, and their intersections with modern disciplines. Submissions from researchers and scholars worldwide are welcome. Manuscripts must align with the journal's aims and scope; submissions outside scope will be desk-rejected.
2. Article Types
DSIIJ accepts the following five types of submissions:
| Article Type |
Description |
| Original Research Article |
Reports innovative empirical or theoretical research. Must follow structured IMRaD format. Theoretical articles should mirror the structure of empirical studies. |
| Review Article |
Systematic reviews following the structure of original research. Must detail search strategy, inclusion/exclusion criteria, data extraction, and homogeneity of findings. Meta-analyses are welcome. |
| Perspective |
A short research article following the pattern of an original research article. Suitable for focused commentary grounded in evidence. |
| Case Study |
Highlights a critical issue relevant to the journal's field. Should present detailed context, analysis, and implications. |
| Opinion |
A short, non-peer-reviewed article from a recognised expert in or adjacent to the journal's field. Should present a clear, well-argued position. |
Editorials and invited commentaries are commissioned by the editorial board and are not open for unsolicited submission.
